A room for every age

Children move up room by room as they grow, from their first months through the school years.

How we see children

We use the Creative Curriculum, a teaching strategy where exploration and discovery lead learning. Teachers watch what each child is drawn to and build from it, so the day meets specific needs rather than a single script. Our open door policy keeps parents, children, faculty and staff talking.

Rooms are set up for exploring: low shelves a child can reach, toys grouped by interest, clear floor space to move. Teachers sit at child height, ask questions, and add materials when a play idea grows. Days move between active stretches and quiet ones, and the pace bends to the group.

What a day looks like

Arrival starts with a grown-up hand and a familiar face. Children find their cubby, hang up a coat, and settle into a table activity or floor play while others arrive. Teachers greet each family at the door and share anything the child needs that morning. Prefer to see it first? Schedule a tour.

Midday holds the busiest stretch. Children play, work in small groups, and spend time outdoors when the weather allows. Everyone gets three nutritious meals a day under USDA-CACFP nutrition guidelines. After lunch, younger children nap on their own schedules while older ones read or rest quietly. Then it is back to play, projects, and time with friends.

Afternoon is calmer. Children finish projects, help tidy the room, and gather for a last story or game before pickup. Teachers hand over a short update on eating, resting, and what your child enjoyed. Care is open until 6:00 P. M., Monday through Friday. Extended day services are available — ask the office which sites offer them.

How we work with families

At pickup, teachers tell you what your child did that day: a tower built, a new word, a nap that ran long. Our open door policy means questions, concerns, or issues get addressed properly, not saved for a formal meeting. A Family Care Worker and a Licensed Social Worker are on call.

Starting somewhere new takes time, so we work with your child's routine from day one. You can tell us feeding and napping patterns, comfort items, and what soothes your child. Families tell the teacher how the first drop-offs go, and we adjust together over those first weeks. Staff are available to talk through anything that comes up along the way.

Good questions to ask first

What are the hours?

We are open from 7:30 A.M. To 6:00 P.M. on Mondays through Fridays..

What ages do you take?

Children from ages 3 months to 12 years old.

Can we visit before deciding?

Yes. A tour is how most families decide, and children are welcome to come along.

What should my child bring on the first day?

Most families pack a spare set of clothes, diapers or pull-ups if needed, and a comfort item for rest. Label everything with your child's name. Ask your child's teacher about anything specific to the room.

Do you offer part-time or flexible schedules?

Schedules depend on your child's age group and what openings we have, so the honest answer changes week to week. Call or email us with the days you need and we will tell you what is available right now.

What if there is no place right now?

If we are full for your child's age, you can ask to be contacted when a place opens. We will reach out as soon as one does.
